When I walk through the grocery store products speak to me, I enjoy the excitement of trying something new and how I can work it into a new dish. The same feeling comes over me when I shop for art materials. You have to take a moment to just explore, don't just walk in for what you came for you have to stroll the floor to see what was out of stock last time, what's new, what you seemed to ignore the last trip.
This method has opened the door to a variety of materials that have mix and match as a piece comes together and look beyond just acrylic paints and canvas. I have branched out until products designed for graffiti, drawing, wood, collage and more. These have allowed me to explore an array of textures that have been added to my works and process.
